(Noun; Behavior) Sportsmanship: the art of pretending to care about someone else's success while secretly hoping they fail miserably.

Sportsmanship: A surreal scene where two competitors shake hands before a game but then proceed to fight each other with giant foam swords instead of playing the sport itself!

Usage

"Sportsmanship" is just a fancy way of saying 'I'm better at losing than you are.'

When it comes to sportsmanship there's no such thing as an unfair advantage - unless your opponent has four arms!

Origin

The term “sportsmanship” was first coined by ancient Greek athletes who wanted to make sure their opponents didn't get too far ahead in the race...literally and figuratively!
