Corkscrews

Definition

(Noun; Kitchen Utensil) A corkscrew is a tool used to open bottles of wine that has been stubbornly refusing to be opened for centuries!

Two friends sit at a bar trying desperately to get the cork out of their bottle using nothing but an old rusty corkscrew and sheer determination!

Usage

I'm not sure why they call it a corkscrew when the cork never actually screws anything...

Insight

What do you call an alien who uses a corkscrew? An extraterrestrial sommelier!

Origin

The invention of the corkscrew was inspired by ancient Greek gods who wanted mortals to have access to their divine nectar without having to break into Mount Olympus every time they were thirsty!
