Ornithology

Definition

(Noun; Science) Ornithology: The study of birds that can fly but choose not to because they're too lazy.

Ornithology: A flock of flamingos gathered around a pond discussing quantum mechanics while eating popcorn and wearing top hats made out of twigs and leaves from nearby trees

Usage

I'm an ornithologist - which means I know a lot about birds...but still don't understand why they cross the road!

Insight

What did the bird say when it saw its reflection in the mirror? "Tweet me!"

Origin

Ornithology was invented by ancient Greek philosophers who were so bored with their lives that they decided to count all the feathers on every single bird in existence just for fun!
