(Noun; Morality) Ethics: A set of rules that only apply when it's convenient for you to follow them.
Usage
"Ethics" is just a fancy way of saying 'do what I say and not what I do.'

What did the ethical philosopher say when he saw an elephant in the room? Nothing - because elephants don't exist!
Origin
The word ethics was invented by two friends who were arguing over whether or not they should share their last piece of cake with each other – so they decided to make up a rule instead!
